A few month ago i stumbled onto a firmware call Legend for the F*nera, it comes preloaded with the aircrack suite and pre-patched MadWifi drivers for the atheros chipset that fon runs on. Which makes these little babies great for Wep key testing. The problem with this is the 8mb of storage the 2100 has.

I wanted something more permenant than a network cifs share. Now im not goin to run through how to flash legend onto the f*n as theres already a great guide which Prochobo wrote on fonerahacks.com found here,

This was what i came up with after looking at various sd/mmc guides and pinouts ive read..

Congrats to the Ms internet explorer team, according to a post last friday they passed then next hurdle to become closer to standards compliancy. To become standards compliant the browser must be able to pass the Acid2 test, and render an image of a retro acid man. In order to make this posible the development team had to make some major tweaks to the rendering engine of IE.

Active Image To the average web user this is not going to make them anymore happier,
and nor me when it come to using a browser as im a proud evangelist of Firefox.
But its made mine and every other web designer life a heck of alot easyier,
no more css hacks and javascript to get you layout working across broswer platforms. All Microsoft have to do now with it is release it and get windows users to upgrade after the joke IE7 is, and will it ever make Xp?

Firefox 3 beta 2 hit the streets a few days back and was the first Mozilla browser to pass, where as Opera,  Konqueror and Safari has done for quite sometime now. Im wondering if it was down to Operas threat to take Microsoft to the EU acording to to this blog posting on web standards website.

After the painfull experence i had getting Compiz-fusion to work with Kubuntu 7.04 (Fiesty fawn), I was glad to hear that the next full release would install Compiz-fusion by default if your hardware would run it, and fall back gracefully if it not. So there i was between then and the 18th October, twiddling my thumbs waiting for the torrents to hit the trackers.

Forgive me if im missing something, but after formating and instaling its no where to be seen.

I Knew my graphics card was capable of running it as i had CF working on Fiesty, It was in the repositories but not installed.

When I did install it it didnt work, xgl wasn't there and nor did the proprietary Nvidia driver that apt downloaded, work with xgl.

So here is what i had to do for a manual install...

Yes iLL Mannered Media is back, after a few months offline. And rather than using Kennnns dusty Pentium 3 as a server we got us some real hosting (Sigh!). As its still in Beta stages there still might be issues with funtionality and layout, but if you do find any problems please let us know by using the contact us form.
